Hi, I’m Karrie
Welcome to Ember Rising.
If you’ve found your way here, chances are life hasn’t unfolded exactly as you planned. Maybe you’re standing in the middle of a difficult season. Maybe you’re rebuilding after disappointment, searching for purpose, or simply wondering what comes next.
I’ve been there.
For much of my adult life, I have poured my heart into my family, education, coaching, and mentoring others. I have loved helping people discover their strengths, overcome obstacle, and believe in themselves. But as life has a way of doing, my own journey took unexpected turns that challenged everything I thought I knew.
There were seasons of heartbreak, uncertainty, loss, and starting over. Seasons when I questioned the path ahead and wondered if anything good could come from what felt broken.
Yet, even in those moments, I discovered something powerful: God rarely wastes our pain.
Little by little, He began showing me that what felt like ashes could become the foundation for something new.
That is where Ember Rising was born.
The name reflects a truth that has carried me through some of my hardest days: Even after the fire, one ember is enough to begin again.
Ember Rising isn’t about pretending life is easy or that faith removes every struggle. It’s about choosing hope anyway. It’s about taking one step forward, even when the path isn’t clear. And it’s about trusting that God is still writing our stories, even in the chapters we’d rather skip.
Here, you’ll find honest reflections, practical encouragement, faith-filled inspiration, and reminders that no setback has the final word.
Whether you’re rebuilding your career, strengthening your faith, navigating loss, or simply look for encouragement, my hope is that this space reminds you of one thing: YOUR STORY ISN’T OVER.
Thank you for being here.
I am so glad you found Ember Rising.
Welcome.
-Karrie
A Few Things About Me:
- I believe the best conversations happen over coffee
- Before Ember Rising, I spent years as an educator and coach, encouraging students to grow on and off the court
- I believe every sunrise is a reminder that new beginnings are possible
- My favorite verse is Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you will go.”
This verse reminds me time and time again that courage isn’t the absence of fear-it’s trusting that God is with us through every season.
